Our workshop series, EcoNomicSday, reflects the diversity of research themes developed at CERGIC and highlights our strong commitment to supporting early-career scholars. These events provide a platform for presenting and discussing frontier research across a wide range of topics, in line with the center's interdisciplinary and applied economic approach.

 

Each workshop brings together leading international researchers who present their most recent work in depth and engage in discussions with invited scholars, doctoral students, and faculty members from ENS de Lyon. Past editions have featured speakers from institutions such as Harvard Business School, Princeton University, MIT, Stanford University, and many others.

 

The series includes both one-off events on various topics (Media, Environment, Conflict,...) and recurring formats, such as the Junior Labs,  PPCR Workshops, PL-PubEcon Workshops, and joint PhD Workshops ENS/Bologna. The former are specifically dedicated to promoting the work of promising young researchers and encouraging intellectual exchange among early-career academics.  The CERGIC, with Cédric Chambru as co-organizer, is organizing the Virtual Workshop on French Economic History: for more information check out their website.
