Elisa Mougin, Associate Professor at CERGIC (ENS de Lyon), is recruiting a research intern to work on the construction and analysis of a database on press consumption in France at a local level.

 

The duration of this internship is flexible, ranging from two to four months, starting in May or June, and is aimed at students interested in applied economics, and political economy, with a specific interest in media economics. The intern can be working remotely or based at ENS de Lyon.

 

Depending on the duration, the intern's tasks will include building the database from proprietary data from the Alliance pour les Chiffres de la Presse et des Médias (ACPM), cleaning the data, enriching the dataset with other sources (using Stata, R, or Python), and conducting exploratory analyses of trends in the circulation of national, regional, and magazine press at the department or regional levels. These analyses and the database could serve as a basis for a master's dissertation in political economy or further research projects.
